NHPCO Asks White House for Regulatory Relief to Respond to COVID-19

In a letter sent to the White House on Tuesday, the National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization asked that hospices be included in any 1135 blanket waiver issued, which would provide regulatory flexibility in the event of a National Disaster being declared. The letter outlined specifically which Conditions of Participation should be relaxed in light of the pandemic, specifically those related to assessment timelines, review of plans of care, and others.
